Dr. Katarina Cohen, DDS
Dr. Katarina Cohen earned her dental degree from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, NY in 1999. In 2001, she completed her general dentistry residency at Maimonides Medical Center in NY, where she was introduced to advanced dental surgery and implantology. She continued her implant education at The New York School of Dental Medicine and matriculated in 2003, enabling her to place and restore dental implants. In 2004, Cohen Dental was founded. Dr. Katarina Cohen is a member of The American Dental Association, The New Jersey Dental Society and an active member of The Forum for Advanced Dental Studies in Monmouth County. In addition, she is a certified Invisalign provider.
Dr. Cohen is proud to be part of Pankey University, which is considered to be the most honored postgraduate university in the world. In 2010, she finished the Pankey continuum, which focused on advanced dental restoration and occlusion. She is also part of the Pankey advanced study club. Dr. Cohen adheres to Dr. Pankey's philosophy that "The goal for a dental practice is simply to help patients retain their teeth all of their lives in maximum comfort, function, health, and esthetics. And to accomplish this appropriately."
Dr. Kokila Punia, DDS
Dr. Kokila Punia is a graduate of New York University where she received her DDS degree with honors in Aesthetics. She is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, recipient of the Academic Excellence Award and Proficiency Award in Removable Prosthodontics at NYU. She completed her Bachelors in Dental Surgery from Manipal University, one of the premium medical schools in India and was awarded a Gold Medal in Oral Surgery.
Dr. Punia is a trained Invisalign provider and has worked on significant cases on smile improvement techniques. She keeps her skills up to date by attending continuing education courses in Implants, restorative dentistry and OSHA regulations among the few which she does on an ongoing basis. She is keen on building long lasting relationships and providing gentle and high quality dental care for her patients, the reason for a high percentage of referral cases.
Dr. Punia is married and has one son. She loves to be with her family in her spare time. Her hobbies include reading, exploring new travel locations, interior decoration and anything involved with creativity and art.
